About me:

I am currently a DPhil student in philosophy at St. Cross College, Oxford with a research focus on ethical theory, applied ethics, and philosophy of religion.

    Thesis: Misfortune and Moral Status

    One Sentence Thesis: I defend the claim that one’s moral status – that is, the degree to which morality weighs one’s interests – is a non-linear function of (1) how much well-being that individual can possibly lose when one’s life is going poorly (i.e., one’s capacity for misfortune) and (2) that individual’s present degree of agency.
